Lee Milum's Review of Obsidian Mask by Scarlett Down

Well first off I'll start by saying to Miss Scarlett Dawn that you did it again! You apparently are trying to kill me with Cliffhangers, but that only means the journey isn't over! I'm astonished that when I read your books that I feel that I could be literally standing in the room with these people. Like I'm living it with them! Your writing is that amazing! Now to get on with my favorite "inhuman" redhead and her dark and brooding older mafia boss. Daniil and Beth are really an unlikely couple, but completely "adorable"! I love the closeness of the family ties, and the multiple personalities with different mural values and life choices we all have faced. She is strongly independent with a peaceful heart. He is very old-fashioned and knowledgeable. Two very different sides of a coin, but one coin nonetheless! The depth of the relationships between all the characters is phenomenal! I would love to hear more on what happened to Grigori and his siblings when they went in to hiding, and that ending is still haunting me! The Baby Boom happening in the mansion is hilarious. I'm not usually a Contemporary Romance reader, but this series has captured my heart, and I can't wait to find out if the Triplets are Boy's!

The best-selling mafia series, by NYT Times bestselling author, Scarlett Dawn, continues with Obsidian Mask, where stakes are raised in passion and devotion--not just guns...

Elizabeth Forter tamed the head of the Russian mafia, Daniil Kozar. Or so she thought. But the mafia has nothing on her parents--the preacher and anti-gun conspirator. The Lion Security team is thrown for a loop when Mr. and Mrs. Forter decided Key West is their next destination to save their daughter from her 'down-slide' into the darker side.

While Elizabeth is busy distracting her overbearing parents...her lover is watching her. Because she lied. And lying to the Russian mafia can only cause groundbreaking shenanigans. The sort of trouble Elizabeth isn't prepared for, ultimately tying her to the gun-waving killers.

Perhaps Elizabeth and Daniil should have watched their backs, instead of each other. Two lovers can be blinded by their own wants. So what happens when the very air you breathe is poisonous? You put on a gas mask...and pray.
